So lately I've noticed that many big brand/firms have come out with promotions and prizes not by asking you to answer their stupid questions, but by first "liking" their page on facebook and then you gotta make a number of your friends like that fucking page and then probably after looking how many people have liked it you could stand a chance to win something. Good marketing technique, but just a waste of time...
Im not saying that you cant win, or that I'm a sore-loser ( I think at times I have been one) but I did notice that a couple of my friends would request a favor on their walls saying that some of their relative has participated in a certain contest and you need to go and like the picture or page. Well, when you ask for a favor you should know to fuckin be polite and thankful if have received the favor. usually they dont win anything and then all is forgotten and if they win, they arent thankful enough to say hey thanks for liking it and being a part of making me win the prize. What usually happens is just a - THANK YOU note to EVERYONE for the votes/likes.Sadly enuff - The winner takes it all.
So next time a big Fuck You if i get a request to like or re-share, whats in for me??? Bittchhh?!!! ;P and a big Fuck you to the corporate world too, first send me the prize then ill think whether I like it or not! Modha-Fockah!
Im a regular on facebook and Im gald to be updated and give updates on my wall. I remember going to a Stand-up Comedy when Ahmed Ahmed ( Axis of Evil fame) was joking about facebook, how one tells every fuckin detail about themselves and like people dont even give a fuck if your having a latte at Starbucks... come to think of it, some do and some dont. some people do "like" even when they dont know whats it all about. They just wanna show you that they read ur post and thats about it. I remember when once I was emotionally hurt and posted a random quote about it on my wall about this person that made me upset. And voila...the dame fuckin person clicks "like" on it. Yeah Im sure that person didnt know that "it" was the target.
So yeah, some posts are good and some posts arent good, but thanks to facebook, even if we realize that this post should have been posted, someone has already seen that post even before you go back and wanna delete it.
Everyone is so fuckin busy these days, and yeah they dont have time to sit back and reply. One great thing about facebook is that you may have 500 friends and you sure do not have the time to communicate with all 500 of them, infact you probably havent kept in touch with some of them since you last added them. but hell yeah you sure do remember them when facebook reminds you that its their birthday, so something thats better than nothing is a Birthday wish. The fact that you are growing old isnt at all a great vibe. but yeah being wished by someone that you know is kinda a compensation. :)
So you get many wishes on your wall precisely the day before, day after and on your birthday....
I think you gotta be kind enough to reply back to all those birthday wishes....instead of sending a one liner post on your wall - thanks everyone for the wishes. Stop being a lazy son of a bitch and be considerate to wish every fucking one.....they all didnt gather up together to wish you...did they?!!! reply back and show that you appreciate that they took the time to wish you. yes some were still busy, some didnt log on to facebook so they skipped your birthday and forgot to wish you. No problem....you can understand that....but then again, dont forget to be thankful that someone in their busy life did have about a minute to spare- puttin up that birthday wish on your wall. dont be a lazy thoughtless bastard y'all! :)
